Life’s Too Short – Love Your Career or Change it
Think about all the time you spend at the office, on the phone, working with colleagues, attending meetings, etc, etc.
Do you love it?
If you don’t love waking up and going to work every morning, maybe it’s time you made some changes. After all, life is too short to not love your job. Now you may be thinking that having a great job and loving what you do is more like a dream for those ‘lucky’ people. But loving your job can be more than just a dream, it can be a reality. Putting all your time and energy into something that doesn’t bring you some sort of happiness is grueling and more damaging than you think. After all, chances are you spend more time at work than with your friends and family or working on hobbies.
So if you’re stuck in a job that you don’t enjoy, chances are you’re not the happiest you could be. You don’t have to be stuck in a career that doesn’t suit you. You can be happy in your profession too! The road to loving your job starts with a bit of self-reflection.
Maybe you’re a great writer or maybe you have a knack for computers. Maybe art is your passion or maybe you’ve always loved caring for others. Think back to high school or college; what were your favorite classes? What interested you most? Asking yourself a few simple questions can lead you to really understanding what you want to do.
